If you live in an almshouse, you are known as a resident or beneficiary. Almshouse housing falls outside the Housing Act 1996, so rather than signing a tenancy agreement, residents are issued a Letter of Appointment and contribute a Monthly Maintenance Charge (MMC) instead of rent.
Almshouse living is based on respectful community living. Residents are expected to live independently whilst being considerate of their neighbours.
We welcome applicants from the following areas:
Winchcombe, Alderton, Brockhampton, Didbrook, Hawling, Prescott, Stanley Pontlarge, Stanway, Sudeley Manor, Cowley, Coberley, Up Hatherley, Leckhampton, Prestbury, Swindon Village, Cutsdean, Temple Guiting, Toddington, Guiting Power, and Sevenhampton.
