We manage two groups of Grade II listed almshouses in the heart of Winchcombe, close to the town’s shops, services, and transport links. Our mission is to provide affordable, well-maintained housing for people of limited means who wish to live independently within this vibrant Cotswold community.

About

Chandos & Dent's Almshouses

We are part of a rich national tradition of over 1,600 independent almshouse charities across the UK. These historic homes offer a form of low-cost, self-contained housing held in trust for local people in need. Each is run by a board of volunteer Trustees dedicated to local service. Today, over 36,000 residents across the country enjoy the security, independence, and companionship that almshouse communities provide.

We prioritise applicants from Winchcombe, but also welcome enquiries from residents of Tewkesbury borough and neighbouring parishes including Cowley, Coberley, Up Hatherley, Leckhampton, Prestbury, Swindon Village, Cutsdean, Temple Guiting, Guiting Power, and Sevenhampton.
